🏏 ON THE PROGRAM: CRICKET IN ENGLISH, MEETINGS, AND TEAM SPIRIT!
Through a softball cricket tournament, the students will play, communicate in English, cooperate, and discover the values of cricket: fair-play, respect, inclusion, and team spirit.
🏆 And because winning isn't just about the number of runs, the Spirit of Cricket Cup 2026 will honor the team that best embodies the spirit of cricket throughout the morning.
🎶 CRICKET ALSO MEETS OCCITAN CULTURE!
A traditional Occitan music group will accompany the event and punctuate the highlights of the tournament.
For the students of Collège Henri Rouvière – Le Bleymard, who study English and Occitan, this day is fully part of their stay in the Gard: practicing languages differently, discovering a new sport, meeting other middle school students, and sharing local culture.
🤝 Playing together. Communicating. Discovering. Encouraging. Sharing.
🙏 The Nîmes Cricket Club would like to especially thank the commune of Dions and the Gard Department, which supports this project as part of the "Sportifs au collège" scheme, as well as the teachers and educational teams of Collège Henri Rouvière – Le Bleymard and Collège Jean Rostand for their commitment and support.
